To enhance the medical humanities literacy of international students in our school, cultivate their professional beliefs of respecting and caring for life, and guide their current professional learning through career planning, on April 20th, the International Education College held a lecture on medical humanities literacy and career planning for international students. The lecture was delivered by Professor Zhang Jinguo, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Affiliated Hospital.
Zhang Jinguo, with the theme of not forgetting one's original intention to be a doctor trusted by patients, explained the profound connotation of medicine and the sacred significance of the doctor's profession, emphasizing that the object of medicine is people, and the greatest glory of doctors is to protect life with a skillful hand and a benevolent heart, winning the trust and respect of patients. He recounted the touching stories to sing and remember of outstanding medical experts such as Norman Bethune and Edward K, and inspired international students to devote themselves to learning professional knowledge and mastering exquisite clinical skills through their experiences of growing from a medical student to a cardiologist, preparing them in all aspects to become a qualified and good doctor.
