On January 10th, the 2022 graduation ceremony for international students was held simultaneously on the Taibai Lake Campus, Rizhao Campus, and the countries where the international students reside. Zhao Min, a member of the Party Committee and Vice President, Ban Bo, Vice Chairman of the Jining Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Vice President of the Affiliated Hospital, attended the ceremony, and Zhu Lifang, Vice President of the International Education College, presided over the ceremony.
Zhao Min delivered a speech and expressed sincere expectations to international students. We must keep in mind the oath of medical students, the belief that doctors can help others, and shoulder the glorious mission of treating diseases, saving lives, and helping injuries. The graduation is the beginning of a new stage of learning, requiring thirst for knowledge, humility, and constant exploration of new knowledge and pursuit of truth. As a medical studentin Jining Medical University, I have witnessed the rapid development and gratifying changes of the school in recent years, and have personally felt China's peaceful development and the sincere friendship of the Chinese people. I want to make more people around the world understand China, understand Jining Medical University, and become a friendly ambassador for spreading Chinese culture.
At the ceremony, Zhao Min and Ban Bo presented graduation certificates and degree certificates to the 2022 undergraduate international students, and warmly congratulated 31 graduates from 10 countries, including Pakistan, Zambia, and the United Kingdom.
Wang Chuanjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Clinical Medical College, read out the Decision of Jining Medical Universityon Graduation of 2022 Undergraduate International Students and the Decision of Jining Medical Universityon Granting Bachelor's Degree to 2022 International Graduates.
The foreign teacher Nomi led all remaining students to read the Hippocratic Oath and revisit the sacred responsibilities of the medical profession. Associate Professor Li Xiaojian, the representative of the teacher, reviewed the progress and growth of international students in their learning and life, expressed comfort and congratulations on their achievements, and expressed sincere blessings to them.
International student Mukuka Mwamba, speaking on behalf of graduates, expressed gratitude to the school and teachers for their long-term hard work, especially in ensuring that all academic work and life are carried out in a normal and orderly manner during the pandemic. She said, Studying in Jiyi enriches our life stories, and our book of life will become a bestseller”.
After the ceremony, the 2022 International Student New Year Symposium was held. Zhao Min kindly inquired about the learning and living conditions of international students and listened to their opinions and suggestions. International students express their gratitude to the school for their concern and care, and express their determination to live up to the expectations of the school and teachers, striving to take every step towards becoming an excellent doctor in the future.
