In order to help our international students understand the historical evolution and urban planning of Rizhao, and gain a deeper understanding of Chinese culture, the International Educationcollegeorganized international studentsof class of 2018to visit the Rizhao Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Botanical Garden for off campus practical activities on April 23.
Under the leadership of Teacher Du Xianjuan, international students listened attentively to the explanation at the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, and occasionally exchanged and interacted with teachers and classmates. They visited exhibition areas such as urban business cards, urban history, urban honors, and urban tourism. The iconic landscapes displayed on the walls of the animation exhibition, such as giant books on rivers and mountains, millennium ginkgo trees, Landbridge International Hotel, swimming center, lighthouse, World Sailing Base, and water sports base, have left international students amazed.
Afterwards, the group walked through the botanical garden, observing various plants and understanding Chinese characters while communicating with local citizens to gain a deeper understanding of the local customs and traditions.
This extracurricular practicalactivity has enhanced the sense of belonging of international students, deepened their sense of identification with Rizhao, and also allowed them to personally experience the magical charm of Chinese history and culture.
