Our school is one of the higher education institutions approved by the Ministry of Education to be qualified to enroll international students in China. We began recruiting international students in 2005; In 2012, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office was established to recruit international students majoring in clinical medicine to China through a full class system. The International School of Education (School of Foreign Languages) was established in 2018. The International Education College was established in 2021.
Currently we are recruiting undergraduate and graduate students majoring in clinical medicine, mainly from 16 countries including Pakistan, Zambia, Ghana, Egypt, Sudan, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and a few from developed countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, and Ireland.
The college attaches great importance to talent cultivation, strengthens the construction of the teaching staff for international students, and hires three foreign medical teachers. In accordance with the requirements of the Management Measures for the Recruitment and Training of International Students in Schools and the Quality Standards for Higher Education of International Students in China (Trial) issued by the Ministry of Education, the Talent Training Plan for International Students (Undergraduate) Majoring in Jining Medical University Clinical Medicine is formulated, clarifying the training objectives and standards, and standardizing education and teaching management, which strengthens the monitoring of teaching quality, carries out training for international students and teachers that observe and compete in teaching. We attach great importance to the quality of practical teaching for international students. The clinical internship and internship hospital is an affiliated hospital of Jining Medical University. The hospital is a large-scale comprehensive hospital of Three 'A's First Class, as well as a regional medical center in Shandong Province. More than 110 teachers have served as mentors for clinical internships and internships for international students coming to China.
The current university has a relatively stable, dedicated, and skilled management team for full-time and part-time international student management familiar with foreign affairs, who establishes a management philosophy of student-centered, safety first, concunrrent emphasis on both humanization and legalization, establishes regulations and systems, and enhances the standardization of international student management. We carry out legal safety education to enhance international students' awareness of learning, abiding by the law, and self-protection, who establish mental health records and pay attention to the physical and mental health of international students. We provide foreign affairs services such as extension of residence for international students, who actively carry out cross-cultural activities to cultivate the emotions of knowing China and being friends with Chinese among international students.
The college has solidly promoted the opening up of higher education to the outside world, cultivating a group of applied medical talents with solid basic medical knowledge, standardized clinical skills, and good professional qualities that meet the needs of international students in their countries of origin or third countries.
